Noise on the engine

Hello Guys,
I am new to the board.
I would like to know what is going on with my egine:
There is a ticking noise from the engine, but it doesn't affect drivebility
the power steering is leaking.

Ticking noise coming from where? Is it a lifter? Where is the power steering leaking, at the pump, a hose, or at the rack?

Sometimes a little dirt can get into a lifter. Have you changed you oil lately? Is it due?

BMW mechanics tell me that "the common 325 ticking noise" is just the injectors ticking as they open/close...

our 325i ticks.. louder and faster with the RPM's.. has ticked since we bought it in 96.

Can you get quieter injectors? I have the noise and it really spoils the deep low RPM exhaust note, man I love that sound.

you can problem get new injectors that won't tick... but i imagine, it would be expensive

Its most likely the injoectors if a valve adjustment doesnt fix it. I would consider calibrating the valves as old as these cars are.

You can remove the injectors fairly easily and clean them with some "fuel system cleaner" and your fingernails. That might help a little.
