Has anyone here had the opportunity to compare the Nokian studdless winter tires vs the Blizzaks WS-50? I recently bought a set of the WS-50's from tirerack.com. I've never heard of the Nokians until just the other day.

I've never used the newest gen Nokians, but 10 years ago they were awesome in the snow when I lived in the snow belt. They are very popular in Europe; it's a Finnish brand. And you know how much it snows in Finland. :)

yeah the LM-22's are the top notch blizzaks. but honestly unless you can only find your size in the LM-22's, get the WS-50's. just my opinion i guess, but i'd rather spend a ton on summer tires and then get decent snow tires cause i'm not going to push my luck too far in the snow.

Good point. I was just speaking for myself then. Because for me, whether it's cold, hot, wet, or dry, if I have to merge onto the highway, I just love to punch it and the Michelin Pilot Sports barely keep up in the dry, already. [eek]

I just bought the LM-22s and put them on my car last week. So far no snow, but they have handled pretty well on dry roads and in the rain. Can't wait for the snow! [:D]
