Non-Smokers Package

I just got a 325xiT which was previously a BMW Executive car. The prior driver never smoked in the car but the car does have a cigarette lighter and front and read ash trays. I seem to recall seeing that there is a Non-Smoker's Package available, which I assume allows for better use of the ash tray areas.

Does anyone know anything about this? What is it? What does it gove you? How much is it and where can I get it?

Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, it would give you one or two small package trays in place of the ashtrays and cig liters.

Those 12v outlets do come in handy for charging phoes, etc.

I called my dealer who couldn't find anything in "the catalog". I also called BMW-NA. They checked with a specilist who said he has heard of this but it is not a BMW part/option. Said I need to check with some third party suppliers.

Any idea where to look?

Thanks.

OK, here's the latest on this.

Just got back from a visit to the parts counter at my local BMW Center. There actually are replacements for the front and rear ash trays. They are known as Storage Bins. There is also a rubber plug to replace the actual cigarette lighter element so it is more of a power plug.

The rear storage bin is about $40.00 retail. The front container is about $25.00 and the plug is about $3.50. Only question is whether the stprage bin just slips into where the ash tray insert pops out or if there needs to be a change to the console and the power plug has to come out too. I don't want to lose the power plug.

I have ordered the front tray and the plug. I'm not going to bother with the rear for now. It is actually big enough to be useful even with the ash tray insert. Parts should be in next week. I'll let you know what happens.
