Oil Light comes on, and stays on at shut off

More often than not, especially in the mornings, my oil light comes on and stays on when I turn off the car. If I turn the key to the first position, and then back off again, the oil light goes away.

Anyone else have this problem? It's probably a programming thing. I just need the time to take it in.

I'm 8800 miles and this is the first and only problem I have had so far.

The same thing happened to me earlier this year when I hit about 10,000 miles. I'm at over 20,000 now. It's your oil level indicator. You should check the level then top it up with synthetic oil if necessary (oil type is in the user guide).
