There I was leaving Minute Maid Park after Roger Clemens pitches another win, leaving himself perfect for the season. (awesome game)

We head to the first bar (and last).

Sweet!! found a money parking spot!....

As expected, we drink a few beers... snag a burger and fries... throw some darts... eventually we decide to leave.....

...and arrive back to my 'money parking spot' only to see my beautiful sweetheart lifted on two wheels ready to be towed away...

at this point I'm almost in tears...

I have to collect myself.... only to find that ChaChi the tow truck driver was charging me $125 just to put my sweetheart back on the ground....

Well I had no choice but to give in to my overweight enemy who had my only love strapped to the back of his truck...

So here I am.. minus $125...

But I atleast I have the security of knowing my sweetheart is in my driveway vs the junkyard...

Lesson learned.

It was some really shady $hit going on... the cops were standing by as the tow truck drivers were hitching my car up... we came out and were like "where does it say we can't park here?!" They pointed to a sign which pertained to another portion of the road... they knew that sign didn't apply to where I was parking... My buddy said " A $125 just to give the car back?!?!?" and they told him to walk away or be arrested...

Turns out... theres a local news station doing some undercover thing about tow truck drivers overcharging and some other bs... seems like I fell right into it...

Roger Clemens cost the yankees the series to the Marlins... However, I am glad that he is still able to pitch perfect games. I was deeply saddened with the performance of his supposed "last" game with the yankees, anyhow I bet he's happy now[thumb]

Btw, that sucks... maybe you can file some kind of complaint???

Edit: Yes I know he didn't directly cost them the series, but I think his pitching could have been better. I honestly didn't feel he gave 100% with the yankees.

What would they arrest him for? You should said "hold on, my lawyer will be right down" and get on you cell phone and see what they say...

We wouldn't have had any recourse due to the fact that we'd been drinking... I can throw down a hell of an argument, however, I could tell that wasn't the time. They weren't going to listen to a thing 4 guys leaving a bar had to say...

In hindsight, I'll be happy with the fact that I didn't have to:

1. Wonder if my car was stollen.
2. Find a ride home.
3. Get a ride to go get my car.
4. Worry about the car while its at some lot.
5. Pay $160 vs $125.

I have found solace in the fact that my car is o.k.

Glad you and your car returned home safely. IMO now would be a good time to contact the local news station and tell them of your ordeal. It may help them to isolate an area or even remind people to have a DD to challenge and help identify these fools.

Well I didn't have the luxury of saying... hey don't tow it with that truck, please use a flat-bed..
Yeah, but there are rules with towing cars. If the car is too low or has AWD, they are REQUIRED to tow it away with a flatbed truck.
This is some kind of deal that cops and tow truck companies have going...late at night, when cops are pulling people over for speeding or whatever (to make sure nobody is drinking and driving, and that everything is cool), they have tow trucks on call literally like a minute away.
