Ordered a 2005 330ci a couple of days ago

Hi everybody,

You guys are all awsome, I learned a lot reading these forums during my decision making phase.

I just ordered a 2005 330ci with following specs:

Jet black
Nav. package
Premium package
M sport package
Steptronic
Park distance control
Adaptive headlights
Maximum legal tint all around
Black Montana leather
Silver cube trim ( actually I'm not sure about this one 'cause I like the plain silver better but I guess they scratch easily and the dealer said with M sport package I only have the choice of either black or silver cube trim) any thoughts?
I'm supposed to take delivery by the end of October, and the good thing is in two days I'm going on an overseas trip for six weeks so the wait becomes a bit less painful for me!

Well, this is my first bimmer so I'm so excited, actually my dad who happens to be an amazing driver owned quite a few and the car he tought me how to drive for the first time with was a 520! manual, it was 17 years ago and I was only 12! but I was only allowed to drive in abslolutely deserted out of town places with him sitting in the driver's seat too! lol

Any thoughts or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

You will LOVE the silver cube trim. I ordered mine sight unseen in my Silver Gray ZHP Coupe and I had doubts, but it is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, especially with the black leather. Gives it a sporty feel, while remaining very classy looking. My friends and gf LOVE it.

Wow, your car is really loaded. You're going to enjoy it.

Premium & Performance Packages? Can you order both in just Canada or is it a new 2005 thing? I've had my SG, Silver Leather, Silver Cube, ZHP for about a week and have received nothing but compliments about the car so far. People off the stree walk up to you and notice things. Welcome to the family.

Congratulation!!!

I ordered my 2005 330ci a couple of weeks ago. I am waiting until Nov 15 to pick it up. Want to get current car paid off first. How did you get Performance and Premium together? I ordered a US spec model. Does that have something to do with it?

Hi everybody,

sorry for getting back to you guys a little bit late, 'cause as I said I was on my way to overseas.

Well, now you brought up the issue of premium and M sport package together, it made me think.
Here's the thing:

First I got my dealer to find a brand new 2004 with my specs, but none had the nav. package so who wanted to factory order a 2004 now hence I went with the 05.
But just to let you know that it's premium and M sport package( not to be confused with M performance edition with 10 more ponies).

I haven't heard about "ZHP" here in Canada. Is it the performance package with 235Hp you guys are referreing to?

But please do let me know if s/th is wrong, 'cause if you can not get Premium and M sport package together, they might have made a mistake! but that's what I ordered and supposedly will be charged for, I guess the configs they have here should be pretty much the same as in U.S.

don't worry, the Sport Package is allowed with the Premium Pkg. It's the Performance (10 more ponies) pkg that you can't mix with the Premium Pkg. Again, congrats on the order.

Actually, for 2005, you can now order the ZHP (Performance package) together with the ZPP (Premium Package).

well, he's in Canada. I'm pretty sure they don't have teh ZHP package there. Just the M Package which is the styling stuff (like bodykit) from teh ZHP package but not the performance stuff. Theone got his specs right I'm pretty sure cuz nothing conflicts.

Congrats on the new purchase. You're going to love this car. Also, steptronic vs. manual shift is a frequent debate on this board. Personally, I went with steptronic because I hate shifting in stop and go traffic. Not a purist I guess. Regardless, it's a kick-ass car and you're going to love it. I'm totally loving mine.

Oh wow. You guys have it now. That looks to be our ZHP since it has 235 hp. I didn't read all of it (annoying website) but I assume it's the same. Damn, having the ZHP was the only thing that made me feel better since you guys can get BMW Individual.
