Outside-temperature display ?

I just bought a 316i E46 model 2005. (It's just like the one in my signature.)

My A/C is manual and not digital. Plus, I forgot to order a board computer. (Stupid me. [?|] ) So there's no display of outside-temperature in my car but I'd like have one without forking out a fortune on a digital A/C or a board computer at the moment.

I wonder if there's another way of getting such a display in my car. I asked the BMW-Service and they said that there's no other solution BMW could offer, so my question is, is there 3rd party device and sensor that I can order or have installed?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions. [pray]

Ooh, that's tough. I know the OEM one has a sensor wired down to the wheel well so it's not a simple affair. You might have a tough time finding a good outside temp display aftermarket. Might just have to live without one.

Yeah, I agree. Car electronics is getting more and more complicated and a simple gadget such as this one becomes impossible to fit somewhere into the dashboard. Oh, well, my old 1994 E36 which had neither digital A/C nor BC had that outside-temperature LED display by default. [:(]

Yeah, I wanted to add that automatic headlight sensor, but it turns out that's super complicated as well. It's not something I need, just thought it'd be cool to have.
