Paint starting to die off! help!

Hey guys, the paint on my E30 is starting to come off at the trunk part.
What's the cheapest and best way to get this fixed?

sand back all the loose paint work use a high grade wet and dry emery cloth to smooth it , prime then respray

Bunker is right. You can't salvage paint that's peeling from the body.

yes I am. I'm guessing the clear coat is starting to peel off the lower right hand side of the trunk.

This is called clear coat failure and there is nothing but repainting that can fix it..sorry

Wow has your car be re-painted before? I didnt think e30's came with clear coats, just regular paint.

Did our cars come with clear coats? Maybe the later E30's did, but I am sure my car doesnt have a clear coat... and its got the original paint.

I got a 1989 318i in plain black and a 1990 316i in metallic black with a clear coat. Both original paintwork
