pass through trunk

i have the winter package which includes a ski sack. problem is that i cant get access to the ski sack from the trunk. there seems to be a plate covering the entrance point. without the manual handy, as i am at work, can someone tell me how to take that plate off?

It says you have a button behind the armrest flap that you pull down from the inside of the car to open the door.
