passenger side mirror

We have started noticing that our passenger side mirror sometimes get stuck when we put the gear in Reverse and put it back to Drive.
Is this a common BMW 3 series problem???

Don't know how common this is, but I just had the motor replaced for this problem. Sometimes it would tilt down in reverse, sometimes not. Then, it finally just stopped tilting altogether, but could still be adjusted from the mirror control. My car is an 02 with 35K.

Motor's wearing out. I dunno how "often" they go out, but it's expected. I just leave my switch to the right so it doesn't tilt down every time I reverse.

Yeah, I flick the switch to anti-tilt mode as well, it's not
much use 99% of the time.
