Pitting of paint on front bumper…

I have an 03 330i performance package. Bought it about 2 months ago with 2500 miles on the odometer (certified used) and have put about on 6000 miles since. Just got done doing my weekly washing and detailing when I notice many (100 or more) tiny pit marks on the bumper/air dam. After closer inspection it appears the paint is being chipped from the soft bumper. I would have thought the bumper would be less prone to paint chipping then say a solid material like the frontal area of the hood. Anyone else have a similar experience and any thoughts on if this would be covered by the warranty? I plan on taking it in but thought I would look here for some advice. Thanks in advance.

I NOTICED MINE TODAY TOO.

i too have the sports package and the tiny paint spots are coming off,WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THEM????

Absolutely it would be covered by warranty if it is indeed a paint defect. It sounds like a paint defect since very few are having or have ever had this problem. It is not normal and should be easy to prove as a defect IMO.
