Read thread "very disappointed and embarrassed" if you want to
know the whole story.

It was about my 330i rear door window regulators.

Today I got some good news [:)]

Yesterday I contacted BMW of North America Customer Relations and
I had expressed all my frustation about the window problem and
I made a formal complaint about the dealership which
I purchased the car from.(Brecht BMW - Escondido,CA)

They (BMW of No.America) were very understanding and helpful. They promplty contected
the dealership of my choice to report my concerns.

One hour later the BMW of Riverside (CA) Service Department Manager called to let me know
that they will repair/replace the window regulador free of charge on a
"good will" basis, since the warranty had already expired.
(The service was estimated in $450.00)

I am very pleased that the issue was resolved and how it was handled.

But I would like to see BMW doing something to prevent those ridiculous
malfunction to happen.

excellent news .Glad the extra leg work worked out for you . $450 is quite a bit of change .
maybe a dozen doughnuts would be appropriate [:D] Great way to make friends with your new service advisor ..just a thought .

Congrats! You've given me hope and I printed out this thread to be prepared when my driver's side window regulator does give out for the third time. I just can't bring myself to pay the $450 out of pocket and your success story gives me amunition to deal with my dealership (Peter Pan in San Mateo). Their service dept. manager has been less than sympathetic when dealing with these ridiculous problems.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow! That is excellent odies that you got that straightened out! I guess I sound surprised because I assumed that the majority of BMW dealerships, as well as BMW NA, have the worst customer service. You know, I sometimes wonder why we even support BMW by purchasing their cars...

BMW of Riverside is the only place I will ever buy a BMW. It is an amazing dealership and it is sometimes difficult to understand the differences until you see how bad Las Vegas dealers are and then deal with someone like Riverside.

Glad you got it fixed.
