Police didn't stop me...

I was doing 90 on the freeway when I came home tonight. It was 2am. It was pretty dark on the freeway. All of the sudden, there's a police car behind me and turned on the flash light. When I was about pull over, he just passed me. He DIDN'T stop me. Is it unbelievable? is it because I drive a BMW?

If he just hit you w/ the flashlight, then it's possible that he just wanted to tell you slow down- kind of like a warning. It would be safe to take it as a warning rather than thinking you can speed because you have a BMW. Cops in LA will pull you over no matter what you drive- hehe

Where did you hear about this? Don't they have to confirm who was driving the car to issue a speeding citation? Seems unlikely such a citation would hold up in traffic court.

They have to confirm identity. That's why they make you sign a ticket and if you refuse, they take your thumbprint.

He was prolly telling you to get outta the way or to slow down. It just depends on how lucky you are. My friend is the luckiest guy in the world. Whether it's a lowered, dark tint all around Integra GS-R or his C32, dark tint all around, he'll be followed by a cop while going about 85-90 who then proceeds to pass him. I'd be pulled over in a second.
