I just recently moved to Alexandria VA and i commute into DC on a daily basis and the roads arent that great. I try to be extra careful however, i have nailed allot of pot holes. The rims seem to be ok and not bent and the tires do not have any bulges on the sidewalls so what is happening to my suspension. Also, is my front end going to get out of allingment? Hit allot of bad holes but the BMW still seems very stiff and secure over all bad road condtions. ps i have a 330 zhp w/ a slightly stiffer suspesion than a regular 330. thanks for all the help...........

basically, and this is what happens on our 7 series, the ride will get more and more bumpy(not that bad, but not as smooth) then you go for service and it will get better, but the alignment will get thrown off, no way to help it unless you got perfect roads, i envy Germans

The suspension in my 325i was perfect out of the dealer...... After about 6months to a yr of driving now the ride is not as perfect as it used to be. But the roads in NY are pretty bad. It still has an excellent ride though.

[welcome] I feel you ODM33, I also live just outside the beltway and commute into DC everyday. My new rims are now warped and will need to be straightened, my alignment gets pounded, I get it adjusted every 6 months, I am in the process of replacing my front control arm bushing for my suspension and I have to check and adjust my tire pressure at least once a week. The winters are tougher on rims and tires. Last year I cracked a rim and destroyed a tire on a I-295 on ramp, because the potholes get worse during winter with the rain and snow. I love DC, but it's hell on my Bimmer. Happy Motoring... [driving2]
