I got a question concerning the premium package if anyone can help. =)

My build date for my car is Dec 15 which means when I order the PP it is $2800 and includes BMW ASSIST. I do not want bmw assist because I want to retrofit my car with the bluetooth kit later on. the bluetooth kit is incompatible with bmw assist so I was looking to purchase the PP items individually. I would order the moonroof, power seats, titanium trim. My dealer said I would be missing out on the auto dimming mirror and that he was 99.9% sure i would get the auto tilt in reverse. Can anyone confirm that I would recieve the auto tilt in reverse and what option number the auto dimming mirror is ? I thought I read somewhere you could add it separatly for $324, but I cant find the thread. BTW, its a 2004 325ci w/ sport/xenon/nav.

snowcrash, that's exactly what i did... well, sort of.

i opted not to go with pp because i didn't want the wood trim (instead i went with titan shadow). i did order moonroof and leather though. the options that i couldn't order were auto dimming mirror and lumbar support. in other words, you HAVE TO order pp to get these. i don't think you will miss out much on these. i have the auto tilt in reverse, which I didn't order separately. i think 330Ci and 325Ci have different options though. for example, i didn't have to order power seats, it just came with it. you might wanna check with your dealer.

hope this helps.

snowcrash,

For what its worth, If the auto-tilt (in reverse)is holding up your program, its not that big of a feature. I have it and its kinda convenient, but I could certainly not miss it.

Personally I hate auto-tilt since it messes up my whole cordination when I need it the most. And the dimming mirror... I think anyone could live without it.

I can certainly live w/out autodimming mirror. If it really bothers you, it's not that hard to manually dim it anyways (turn the clown nose). I kinda want the auto-tilt mirror though since I can't parallel park. Already curbed one rim cuz I didn't judge the width of my car right. [?|]

I dont even notice really the auto dimming mirror. I never had it before and so i dont really need it, but it's cool to have. The autotilt mirror is pretty cool. Definitely helps me when I parallel park, but often times I turn it off, because it can get annoying when you dont want it to tilt down. I enjoy having both but I definitely dont need them. If those are your only concerns I dont think you would miss them very much. Dammit im jealous. I wish I had the navi, I'll trade you my autodim and autotilt for your nav. hahahaha. anyways, good luck! [thumb]

Is the Titan Shadow a dealer option, or do I have to have it installed after production. Anyone have any pictures of titan shadow with black interior? BTW anyone retrofitted bluetooth in a 2004 coupe w/nav? [:)]

snowcrash, titan shadow trim is not an option that you can choose or buy. I didn't like either wood or titanium silver so I worked out a deal where dealer ordered the parts and replaced the trim for $500. I posted some pictures on this thread - http://www.bmwboard.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1759. I don't have the black interior like you do but you'll see that it blends in better with rest of the dashboard than the titanium silver.

for 2004's the auto tilt mirror comes with the sports package. You should be alright since you have sport...bluetooth is another issue I can't help you with. Good luck! [?|]

I was told that even though I will get Assist, my 05 (9/5 prod) should be fine with bluetooth kit. New kit coming out for the cabrio this quarter.
