Thinking of getting a 2005 330Cic. I was wondering what sort of negotiating price people are getting? Anyone's help would be great.

You should be able to get a good deal on existing inventory cars. Try calling around, I wouldn't be surprised if you can get around $5-7k off MSRP.

edmunds.com is a good site also - I'm not sure how well they cover new car pricing, but their TMV (true market value) is a pretty handy figure when buying CPO (doesn't do you much good) .. Although it doesn't matter much when one is buying a 330 convertible - dealers know someone will buy it, especially this time of year.

If you get 5-7k off the sticker, you should be thrilled. I was thinking more like 2-3K - wait until sept-oct and you'll probably do better though.

I just bought two 2005 BMWs... 1 was a 330Cic and the other was a 325Cic

With the 330Cic I had a trade where I was upside down so that one is probably a bad example.

However, on the 325Cic it was a straight purchase deal and we were able to drop the price by about $2K --- not really much of a discount considering the MSRP on that car. The dealer wouldn't budge any further than that because he said they really have no problem moving the convertibles and therefore they don't usually deal very much on them. I believe it because I was watching their website and the cars on the lot for a while before I made up my mind to buy and they seemed to constantly have outgoing and incoming convertibles. None that I saw seemed to sit on the lot for all that long.

I think really the only reason they gave me a little discount on the 325Cic was because we had just recently bought the 330Cic so they sort of felt obligated to give us something for the repeat business.

Paid $1050 over invoice for a May 1st delivered 325cic w/xenons, metallic paint, and heated seats. I did ED, but a good dealer should be able to match that price....
