problems with clutch

This problem started about a week ago after some hard driving in the mountians. The clutch makes a squeaking noise when I press it. Also, when I am coasting at a slow speed(<10mph) and put it in neutral and let out the clutch there is a clunking noise. Is this the release bearing? Will it continue to get worse as I drive it or just stay the same?

Yeah, the squeaking is the release bearing. Mine made that noise for about a week before the release bearing broke into three pieces and destroyed the clutch release arm, front bearing retainer, and clutch pressure plate. It might last you a little while, but I think you'll be needing to put a new clutch in the car sometime soon.

so it would be better to fix it now than let it break and destroy other parts as well, or will those other parts need to be replaced anyways?
