proper wheel lug/bolt torque

whats the proper wheel lug/bolt torque?

i believe its 80 ft-lbs but i want to double check ...

its for a 2003 325i w/ sport package rims

whats the best way to jack up the car one wheel at a time to remove the rims and clean them?

If I'm not mistaken, BMW changed their spec around the end of 2002 to 87 ft-lbs.

are you sure thats not just for the M3?

Yep! According to the BMW TIS CDs it covers almost all models and deff all of the e46 cars.

How do you actually measure that? I usually just tighten until it's tight without over-tightening.

i have a tool that i can set to tell me when ive got enough torque on the bolt ....

its called a torque wrench (with auto click feature)

Yeah, I know a torque wrench. Smart move, I never figured a torque wrench could be used for that purpose.
