Hello out there. I'm putting a new set of wheels and tires on my 330i today. I think I have a good understanding of what needs to be done. The tires are already mounted and balanced, so it's just a matter of switching wheels. Are there any common mistakes that I could possibly make? Any techniques that save time/effort? Thanks a bunch. I'll post some pics when I'm done.

You'll want to (when putting on your new wheels) torque the lug nuts to 80-100ft/lbs and torque them in a star pattern (torque the lug directly across from the last one torqued) so you won't crosstherad any. Good luck!

I believe 80 foot pounds is the average. If you don't have an adjutable torque wrench, just make sure that the lug nuts are tight, but don't over-tighten them. Also, as wood_e said, tighten the lug nuts that are opposite each other.

When removing each wheel, remember to loosen the lug nuts before you lift the car up on the jack. I know, I know, basic tip, but a lot of people forget to do this.
