question about my 330CiC

Hey everyone...long time no post...anyway..I sold my 2000 323Ci and purchased a 2001 Alpine white with grey leather 330 CiC with 30K from the dealer (not a mark on the car).. ....this morning I notice a sound from the rear that seems like a deep humm...and also a real light buzz sound...is this normal for the bigger 330 engine?....the car is certified and a clean vechile history...any thoughts would be helpful thanks...also will have pics up soon

Yes the brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm sound is the 330's exhaust. It also sounds like the she moans (mmmmmmmmm) at <1800rpms when you get on her throttle. Completely normal...

How much was it btw? How much warranty is left, doesn't seem like more than 1yr. (6yr 100k)

Is Maintenance included? That is a little expensive, but if it's in excellent condition, drives great, and you really wanted it then it was worth it. Enjoy the car.

Just to be on the safe side, have the rear bearings checked. They can make a humming sound when they start to go out.

Actually I was thinking that was a reasonable price for a CPO 330 CIc in the Northeast!

I have a 04' 330i. When I turn off the engine there is metallic rattling sound from the rear. I thinks it the exhaust heat shield. this might be what you are hearing ?

I think you should take it to the dealer, that doesn't sound right to me. I thought he mean't the (heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) mild humming sound and and the (brrr) sound the exhaust makes when it's idle which is normal, rattling isn't. I'm picturing a datsun with a shaky muffler now....

The buzzing is the fuel pump I think. Mine is noticeable too. I was told it is normal. It doesn't bother me anymore.

bmwrocks....you are correct...they checked the car and that is normal...I guess I have to get use to the 330 engine..thanks guys...loving the car and the attention
