Question about my horn

I have had my 2004 325xiT for about 6 weeks and today for the first time I needed to blow the horn. The steering wheel has a symbol of the horm on the top side of the center section of the midle of the wheel. I can push it but nothing happens. The only areas that seem to activate the horn is the bottom side edges of the horn area. Hope this is making sense.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal or should there be more area that activates the horn?

If you push on it hard enough it should work. You don't necessarily have to push on the bottom area only.

I have the Sport wheel. If I just mash the BMW logo, the horn sounds. I think I'm supposed to push one area more, but yeah, if you push hard enough, it should sound the horn. The horn isn't exactly all that tough sounding tho.
