Question/Concern Please Help!!

I have a '96 328i and the other night I parked my car, turned the car off took the key out and the car was still on and running perfectly normal. The car would still drive, however the ignition was locked and would not give. I had to take the fuse out to the fuel pump in order to actually get the car off. Has anyone had this problem or heard anything like this?

Sounds like a defective ignition switch. But no I have not heard of the problem before.

I'm with big daddy about the ignition switch, or it could be the switch relay.
Damn that would have been one ugly way to end the night..
