Question for 99 328 owners

I live in the 100+ degree weather. My 99 328i (and all of them in 99) has an AC condenser fan (the closer fan to the front bumper, NOT the one by the engine). Mine is running constantly when AC is on and it makes a loud noise. Do you have the same observation??? Is your fan running all the time and is it that loud? Or does it turn on intermittently?

They discountinued the fan on 2000, so is it really necessary in the 99?

Also, is your AC blowing really ICE cold air, or just cool enough to be comfortable?

like a squealing noise? try putting some lubricant on the bearing

it's more like a jet engine noise - it is rotating very fast - I am talking about the noise caused by its speed. should it run constatly?
