Question on changing my shift knob?

I have an automatic car and the last time I TRIED to change my shift knob I had to take it to the dealership and pay to have them do it, needless to say I have to change it again and I can't seem to figure it out and neither could any of my guys. Does anyone know how to change and automatic shift knob?

I guess a saw and superglue is out of the question.. But there should be a way.

Move the lever into D or N before pulling it off. If you have a moonroof, close the shade in case if flies up. Don't wanna crack the moonroof. And watch out you don't smack yourself in the face and knock yourself out.
