Radio defect - help!

Hi, I have a 92' 318is, over 204k miles, still runs good. tho awhile ago one night me and a friend of mine were talking in my car and parked and just listening to the radio and the radio just shut off. then the display of what the radio as showing flashes on and off, but its just th display - the speakers are silent. now when i switch on the radio, thats all it does.

I'm just wondering if this a a typical defect, like the sunroof motor etc. is there an easy fix etc?

I have not heard of this, with any stalk radio at least. I do know that there is a seperate fuse for the radio under the hood. Check your fuses in the fuse box under the hood.

All the fuses have been replaced, and i haven't done anything to the radio, i wish to keep it all stock.
