In the past 7 days I have:

Clipped a bank at low speed driving like a n00b on a dirt road and cracked the front bumper bent the passenger side fender and turned my control arm into a banana.

Been rear ended and bent the rear bumper mounts

Lost the wheel lock nut key.

I have replaced the control arm (NZ$170) and installed new urethane control arm bushes (NZ$108) both sides.

The car is at my tyre and suspension guy having the lock nuts removed, the tyres flipped on the rims, rims polished, & the alignment checked, ($$?) and then it will be going in for plastic welding, panel beating and repaint. ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$??)

New locking studs are NZ$50 from BMW and in the post.

Wallet feeling lighter already :(

Damn, Graham! No dirt roads! I left my wheel lock on my wheels after changing the e34's rims... it spun off on the road and my dad found it walking the dogs.

Maybe you'll wake up and none of that stuff has really happened. Sorry to hear that... poor M-Tech:(

*Sigh* e30 burn ftl :(

Sad to hear about that Graham, hope that m-tech goes back to straight again!
I'm currently looking into doing the front and rear seats on my e30 (custom) and getting the whole car resprayed... Yes again.

The wallet will grow fat again :)

OK, so apart from some minor hiccups (like the paint shop curbing one of my rims so it having to sit there another day while they repaired it, and the power steering belt breaking last night), the car is back and in better shape than before due to me getting the entire front end tidied up and resprayed, and getting an old crack in the rear skirt by the PO repaired and the rear skirt and bumper re painted.

So glad to be back on the road - total costs all up a little less than NZ$1700. Considering I had had planned to do the painting (quoted at around $900-1000 with no accident damage) before I damaged that's not too bad.

Might stay off those gravel roads when driving the e30. Sideways is fun, but only if you don't come to any sudden stops.
