...doesn't always scroll correctly when the data is being reported by a radio station on my system with the nav screen.

It will sometimes display the whole message, other times display part of the message.

For instance, there is a station here that always has RDS messages. The full message might be "Real Rock 101 One Staind So Far Away".

This what I see: "Real Rock Away" then "One So Far" then "Real One Staind Away" ..... get what I mean? BTW for the first quote, "Real Rock" is the first message, then changes to "Away" then starts over.

My X5 with the business radio works perfectly for this.

Anyone else have this issue with their nav equipped car?

You guys are misinterpreting my problem. I was not clear enough. I know not all stations send RDS data. I don't expect the data unless the data is being sent.

I am talking about when a station DOES send the data, I am seeing the problem.

Again, in my X5 with the standard business radio, the stream is displayed just as it is intended by the station. However in my 330Ci with the nav screen, the stream is not displayed as the station intends it. If I do a side-by-side comparison of the two at the same time, the X5 display scrolls the message perfectly every time, and the 330Ci display doesn't.

Does anyone else with a nav system experience the same problem?

I have the same problem on my 330Ci. It never displays the entire song title and quickly goes back to the radio station name.

My friends X5 however always works fine. It scrolls the entire song title over and over.

Thanks for confirming this.

Does your friend's X5 have the nav screen or the standard radio?

I am going to check with the dealer next time in about a possible software upgrade to the radio for this problem. Adding it to my list.....
