I am planning to purchase a car this weekend. I have it down to 2 choices. My # 1 choice is the bimmer obviously. A 2004 325ci with sports, premium, xenons and heated seats for $37,495 out the door. I have about 30 to put down. Or I am going to go witht he 2004 a4 1.8t quattro for $33,000 out the door with premium, sport, and infotainment package. I really want the bmw but what would the monthly payments be if I put down 30 grand at 4.9 per year for 48 months? And in your opinion which is a better deal? Thanks guys...appreciate the info.

Pydo...Do you plan on using this as a daily commuter or more of a weekend car? I have a '03 A4 1.8tq and love it as a commuter car. Its not very fast, but offers excellent gas mileage and handles like a champ. However from a performance stand point, it's very slow compared to a 325ci. Have you test driven both vehicles? I say, if you really want a BMW then go for it. You will be very happy with your decision. Not only will the 325ci out perform the A4 1.8tq, it will hold its value much better.

Here's a pic of my A4

this is a big purchase, not only in terms of dollars but also since you probably will be driving the car for at least 48 months. Since you want the bimmer, I'd say go for it, the extra $4K is worth it. The worst scenario is to be driving your A4 and always eye the 325i on the road (around here, its every other car) and wish you had gone with the bimmer instead.

Good luck.

Both vehicles are really great. For 2004, the A4 1.8T receives a 6-speed manual transmission, and some other extra options only normally offered on the A4 3.0. The 325Ci is quicker than the A4, but after a $500 chip, the A4 1.8T will really move. It definitely is a tough choice, and it's clear that you get more for your money with the Audi, but the BMW is a more premium vehicle. Also, Audi holds its value at about 60% after 3 years, so resale is pretty solid, pretty much at BMW level. I think it depends whether you want to save some money (the A4), or go for the more premium vehicle (the BMW).

Yeah, get the bimmer. I was comparing an A4 2004 1.8 Cab with a 04 325cic. Audi is about $2000 cheaper. I found out that the resale value on a BMW is much higher.

I do have to say that BMW charge you for everything. I cant believe a $39,000 car don't come with leather. Anyway, this is my second third BMW I'm getting. Best car I ever driven.

BTW. Check the Audi forum like audiworld.com. Look how many of them have car problem. Feel free to PM if you need the links to all the Audi problem. (I'm not saying all Audi are bad, there are exceptions.)

Haha, all I could do was think about my car for the past few months. Anyways, Im really happy with it. Thanks to everyone for all the support. Any suggestions on some initial quick easy mods...I think im gonna go to bimmian to get the front bumper reflectors. If you know of any other good places gimme a holler. Thanks guys!!

Congrats Pydo and excellent choice. I would check out Bavauto.com first and then compare the prices with Bimmian.com. Some items are cheaper on Bavauto.
