Rear Defroster/Radio

Recently when I turn on rear defroster my FM reception cuts out to static. The car is a 2002 330i. ANyone have a clue why it is doing this?

Take it in to the dealer. You should still be under warranty. If it's a hassle, inspect your back window first. Do you have tint? The defrost lines and antenna are both on your back window. See if something looks wrong back there.

I have a 2001 325xit - purchased used with 66000 miles. Noticed same issue, plus defroster didn't seem to work very well. Dealer (not a BMW dealer) replaced rear window - said there might have been a short in the defroster which also interfered with radio reception. No problems since.
