rear disc noise

just quick one. could a warped rear break disc make the same sound as worn bearing. checked bearing no movment at all..would explaine my mpg post..

Because we are all at work and you have no Patience, I mean wow you waited a whole 8 hrs for an answer (four of which were prior to 8:00am. No a warped brake disc does not make any sound, the brake pad might as it contacts the warped portion. Try jacking the car up and slowly turn the wheel, do you hear the sound? You can usually feel a warped disc as well in the brake pedal. Now take a motrin and slow down...

A worn bearing make a low rumble noise inside the car, gets louder or higher pitched as the speed increases. The bearing can be bad and not have any noticeable play.

As Dan said, a warped rotor would not cause this kind of sound.
