Last night i was driving around and my car seemed to just stall in first gear. Like i have had my rpms drop and my car would recover, but last night the car just began stalling. I know this is a software problem. In disgust, i went home and parked the car. This morning i wake up and take it for a drive and every time i shift from first to second the rear end makes this loud clicking noise. the shifts are smooth so its not like im doing it by shifiting rought. Could this be realted? Please help>? 330zhp. [bigcry]

So would I...def. go to dealer. Don't mess around with a serious problem on a new, expensive car. Good Luck!!!! Oh yeah...and demand a BMW loaner too. They told me they were all out...after my tantrum and yelling :) amazingly...they found a 2004 325 for me!!!!

Sounds like a center support bearing almost. I think the clicking is entirely unrelated to the engine almost stalling -- since the only thing behind you that effects the engine is the water pump -- and that couldn't make a clicking noise.

I'm pretty sure you typed "water pump" but meant "fuel pump"? If the water pump was behind the me I'd be sitting on the bumper - unless it was a Porsche or a Ferrari! [:)]
