Recall Notice!

It has to do with the battery discharging due to improperly configured climate control module. I thought I read on here about this very isseu before, but did not find it during a search.

I thought some had said that their battery died when they left their climate control on AUTO.

Anyway, anyone else get this recall notice? Got it in the mail today.

The bulletin above says it's for:

AFFECTED VEHICLES
This Service Action involves E46 (3 Series) vehicles which were produced from March 1, 2003, to July 21, 2003. In order to determine if a specific vehicle is affected by this Service Action, it will be necessary to utilize the "Service Menu" of the DCS (Dealer Communication System). Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action.


We were going in for an oil change anyways this week, they did it as part of that. Our notice came late last week.
