Sorry if this has been answered before, but was curious what some of you do about these...

I was just Looking at ALLDATA.COM's website for recall and service bulletins for my 2000 323ci

http://www.alldata.com/TSB/06/00069638.html

Unlike the recall notices which I would expect BMW to service or fix free are the Service Bulletins something I can expect to be fixed free as well at a BMW dealer if I have a problem on my car under the standard warranty?

What about outside the warranty?

If your car is affected and still under warranty, you can have them fix it. Just have them run your VIN the next time you take it in for servicing.

I know with recalls they have to fix it regardless of your warranty, I don't think it applies to a TSB.

If your car is under warranty and your specific complaint matches the description of the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin), then it will be fixed free of charge. If the car is out of warranty, it's coming out of your pocket just like any other breakdown that would occur out-of-warranty.

If you just walk up to the dealer and say "fix all these TSB problems" and your car isn't actually showing the symptoms, then they will not work on it.

A TSB problem is something a dealer won't usually try to fix unless a customer has a specific complaint that is described by the TSB.
