Over the past few weeks, there have been some odd things happening to my 2004 325xi. First was when the rear passenger lights didn't go off when the car was shut down. Next was last night when my instrument panel lights stayed on after the car was shut down. Both of these were resolved by starting the car and shutting down a second time, but I'm keeping an eye out because something isn't right.

The other annoying issue is that when I first get into the car (manual transmission) it will stall sometimes as I roll to a stop. Pressing the clutch and revving can avoid a stall if done quickly. That only happens when its cold, but I think the dealer is going to have to take a look. I'm also going to put some dry gas into the car and see if that helps.

The lights thing sounds like a computer glitch.

I think there was a recall or TSB about 3 series manual shift with stalling problems? Definitely hammer the dealer!

The stall issue happened to me when I was using a loaner 2004 325i automatic when my car was in the shop. I had driven about 5 miles when I stopped somewhere for 20 mintues. When I came back I started the car put it in gear drove a couple feet and it stalled. Just letting you know.
