I have a 2002 325I with sports package and my wheels are the 17" 7 spoke factory wheels. What is the finish on these called? It's like a whitish grey/silver with clear coat, not shiny silver/chrome. (I'm getting them refinished and when I called the guy at the repair shop he said the powder coated wheels are harder to get back to original condition.) Thanks!

If I'm not right those are anodized rims meaning that they are mostly aluminium rims with the anodized coating on them...can you post a pic of these rims? ..I'm not quite understading what finish they really are

Err, rim repairs do curb rash all the time. Shouldn't cost more than $150/wheel. If a lot of rims are messed up, you can always get a set of cheap aftermarket rims.

Most places should be able to repair that without any issues.

If you can't find a local place and want to send it in, try this place:
Arizona Wheelcovers
Address: 4053 E Washington St
Phoenix, AZ 85034
Phone: (602) 275-9211

They do excellent work.
