I posted a while ago on keyless entry, and the cold MN winters are starting to set and I think I want to put a remote start in. Can anyone suggest a key;ess/remote start ket? I really odn't know what ones are good, ive just been looking on ebay. Also my car us manual, so would I just leave it in neutral then?

You'd have to leave it ALWAYS in neutral (useless if you live on a hill and want to keep your handbrake in good order) you can get remote entry systems with an aux output on a second channel which can wire into the starter circuit. Trouble is that its actually bad for the engine to warm up to operating temp at idle. the ports and cylinders get glazed over and will reduce power. (BMW manual says don't do it.) warm your car up for a couple of mins then start to drive. (in summer you can just go) in winter i tend to start the car then defrost the windows with a scraper. by the time im finished the car is warm anyway.

yeah, dont use it for a while. Just a minute or two.

I have one, I just havent installed the relays yet, just the brain. Just ground the neutral safety switch and unplug the cars one from the clutch and always leave it in neutral.

habit, make it one. I wouldnt want to be there when you forget to leave it in neutral and your car jumps into the car in front of it.

What about them? Do you have them? If so just leave em on so when the ignition is turned on they come on too.
