Anybody replaced the front wheel hub assembly on an E46? There are two split half bearing retainers that fit directly on the axle inside the bearings. Since these are zero tolerance piece over the axle the inner half does not come off with the hub assy. Any shade tree mechanic solutions? Oh, a gorilla with an air wrench cross threaded my anti theft lug bolt making the current hub unusable. 4 lugs work fine, but have an upcoming state inspection.
