In my opinion no. What are you going to get with just a year ? another oil change and thats it. If you have 35k miles then hopefully the previos owner did the schedule I maintanence where they pretty much check evrything on the car. With the 1yr warranty you might be able to get a break job and some windshield wipers . Make sure the schedule I was done on the car already ..very important check . You're nearest dealer will tell you .
I'm thinking that if the brakes were ready to be replaced they would've done it on the schedule I ..An oil change at my dealer costs $200. They call it an oil " service " . so another question to you is can you change your own oil? Do you always take your car to the dealer for maitanence items ? pull of your front tires and check the pads thickness , maybe the 500 for the extra insurance is worth it..
