The badge/emblem on one of my Sport Package wheels is starting to peel. I received a replacement badge from my dealer and I am wondering how these are supposed to be installed (i.e. is there something I peel off the back for it to stick)? Anyone have some advice on replacing this thing?

Shouldn't it just be a peel-and-stick type of badge? To remove the old one, can you just peel it off with your hands? If not, you can try using this product called "GOO GONE" which I have seen being sold at the Auto department of my local KMart. You just apply the GOO GONE solution around/behind the badge and take a string (such as dental floss) and just pull it down behind the badge. Or you can use a heat gun while using the dental floss process.

MrElusize, I remember you from the VWVortex site. I see you didn't get a VW [:)] We had an 02 Jetta GLX VR6 (sport package too) and it sat at the dealership for 1.5 months total waiting for 3 coilpacks [:(!] VWoA re-purchased our car, gave us all of our money back and we went and bought an 02 325i. I wonder if that 200hp VR6 is quicker 0-60 than my 184hp 2.5L??? Both are Tiptronic/Steptronic.

Oh yeah, I think I PM-ed you once asking how VWoA bought your car out from you because I wanted to get rid of mine, lol. I drove the Jetta GLI VR6 once with the 6-speed manual and it was a lot of fun to drive...really fast car, the engine is really fun. I would say it is, unfortunately, easily faster than a 325i Auto.
But yeah, I got rid of my Jetta GLS 2.0 for a G35 Coupe 6MT. I had to pay $3,366 to get out of my Jetta lease, but it was worth every penny. [:)]
