Hi All,
According to BMWUSA website the Sport Package, consists of the following:
"Sport suspension calibration
17 x 8.0 Star Spoke (Styling 119) cast alloy wheels, 225/45R-17 performance tires
12-way adjustable front sport seats (includes 2-way headrests and thigh support)
3-spoke leather-wrapped multi-function sport steering wheel with fingertip cruise, audio and accessory phone controls"

At a cost of $1,400.
How much should I expect to spend now, minus the seats. Actually, you can minus all except 1
17 x 8.0 Star Spoke (Styling 119) cast alloy wheels, 225/45R-17 performance tires
Thanks!
I own a 2002 325i with Steptronic

upgrade

i recently upgraded my 03 325i's wheels/tires ...

i went to dealer and was quoted somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,600 for the rims/tires installed ...

i was not going to pay that ....

so i went on ebay about found Original Equipment take offs (removed from a 2003 325i) for 500$ ...

i feel i was pretty lucky because only one other person was selling what i wanted

bahnstormer is right ...

i have heard bad things about replica's .... about the metal being too soft/cheap and the rims will bend easy (ie - hitting pot holes, etc)

i have also heard replicas are heavier, which will effect your performance

Yep, stay away from replica's if you can. Get a take-off set for really cheap either on E-bay or from the classifieds on Bimmer.org.

As for the suspension, you have two options:

1. Buy someones sport package suspension with very ow miles. A lot of people put aftermarket suspension and get stuck with OEM. So they tend to sell it cheap. [:D]

2. Go aftermarket. This way you can exactly choose what you want your car to behave like. Lots of options: Bilstein, Koni, Vogtland, RD Sport, ACS, Eibach, H&R, etc., coilovers or kits. The most expensive "normal" c/o-ers would run around $1300.00.

I have been kicking myself for not getting the sport pack on my 330i. This would have included the 3 spoke wheel, sport seats different rims and tires.

* the 3 spoke wheel is a far better steering wheel then the 4 spoke
* with ordinary seats you slide around when ever you turn. I had sport seats when I did the BMW driving course and they were great, my but stayed firmly in the seat.
* upgraded wheels and tires. At least here in Canada the sport pack includes summer tires and the regular package has all season tires. I would suggest that you not get all season tires, they have terrible traction in the summer. I would get two sets, one for summer and one for winter.

I believe that sport pack is with the expense and is far cheaper then replacing the tires, steering wheel and seats.
