I was replacing the H7 DRL bulb in my 03 330i and now the inner assembly "floats around". I don't think anything could have broken, but simply replacing the bulb.........What's the deal? The right side now tilts down and the headlight look terrible.

It was a pain in the ass to get back on as well.

If I were you I would just put the old burnt out bulb back in and take it to the dealership and let them fix it under the warranty.

I can't see how you could have funked up the xenon by replacing the halogen....hmmmmm.

Just put the old one back and tell them the xenon is funked up as well.

To my understanding, there are counter-balance "weights" to assist in leveling the headlights. Check to see if you have inadvertly disconnected that.

I felt the left side and it's solid feeling. The right side kinda floats around like it's only being held on by the rubber surround.

The bulb wasn't burnt out, I was putting in one of those hyper white style lights to make it look better.

I still say put the old bulb back in, take it to the dealer and tell them the xenon has a problem, play dumb and let them fix it.
