I recently paid about $430 for my front brakes done. it was all could afford at the time. Now my rear need to be done. I will do this myself, I have done domestics and hondas. I feel confident on the task. My question is on the rotors I purchased new ones. Now my question is is their anything fancy in removing them and replacing them. Or can i just pull them off thanks.

rear brakes

Hi there,

Rear brakes are not that difficult.
You'll need; 6mm allen (for the screw disk to hub)
7mm Allen (for caliper bolts)
Pliers (big to squeeze and remove the spring...carefully, it can shoot out hard)
16mm wrench (for caliper carrier/bracket)
Hammer (basically to strike the disk to release it from the hub)
Wire brush (to clean off brake dust and the hub...wear a mask)
Big pliers (to squeeze the piston back gently...don't overfill Master)
Replace the sensor (right rear caliper inner pad)
Clean and lube the caliper sliding bolts
Lube the backing of the pads and their contact points
Slap it all back together nice and snug and take it for a burn.

I might be skipping a step w/ rear brake sensor, in that some have the sensor under some plastic trim.

Hope this helps,
Tiger

Parking brake

Hi there...

A propos the parking brake,
while the disk is off, you can turn the adjusting wheel to find out which way it should go, and when the disk is back on, adjust it thru the wheel stud holes.
The handbrake lever should travel 4-5 "clicks". Try to adjust both sides evenly.

hope this helps,
Tiger
