Anyone know some good methods for treating rusted areas? I have some mild to moderate surface rust I would like to clean up. Thanks

I tried dremeling a rusted area off in the summer then repainting, but the rust still came back :/

Any tutorials anyone knows of would be greatly appreciated

Take a look at this site: POR 15 .

I had an area on the floor boards of my Volvo that rusted completely through about 1" x 10" along the unibody "frame rail" weld. I ground out as much rust as I could and then used POR 15. It REALLY works.

The reason your rust came back is because you just can't get all the rust out, and after you paint it, the rust starts up again from under the paint because oxygen & moisture gets through the paint. POR 15 works a completely different way. There are several different chemicals that you use to clean and etch the metal. This part converts the rust similar to Naval Jelly. But the final magic is there 2 part "paint". It really isn't paint, it's more like a 2 part epoxy paint that cures and turns INCREDIBLY HARD, so hard you can't chip it with a chisel! You use it to SEAL the metal so that oxygen & moisture can't get in - no more rust.

I was skeptical about this stuff, but the Street Rodders and Restorers swear by it. There are reviews on the web by a number of magazines that tested it. One word of caution: you MUST MUST MUST follow all the steps and instructions EXACTLY for it to work. Great Stuff!
