I was just about to do an oil change on my 01 325 with 45k miles when I noticed some dark brownish color on the inside of the oil cap and also just inside where you pour the engine oil. Is that normal? No problems driving the car at all. I changed my oil about 9000 miles ago using Mobil 1 Syn and a Mann oil filter, but I don't recall seeing the brown stuff. Oh it does wipe off the oil cap with some tissue. Thx.
