Saw it at the dealer this week. The exterior styling in the rear
is a major improvement over the sedan. The rear seats now
have a console that divides the two rear passengers, and has
AC vents with controls facing the rear passengers.

The engine is 300HP.

Here's an article with a 2-minute video review as well:

If this car had better styling, and the interior was more driver-centric
like prior 3-series, I'd be more excited.

I saw one at our local dealer on Friday, when I was shopping for the Range Rover replacement. It was either Mystic Blue, or maybe even Interlagos. I agree, the rear end styling looks amazing (although I think the front end of the sedan is better). The interior is of course BMW coupe perfect. I think it will be the best selling coupe ever. I think BMW hit it out of the park. I was impressed!

You guys have no idea how I am soooo drooooling for this car....I love M3's but for a "new" Bimmer it will be directly in my price range....and being one of the aftertuner friendly BMW drivers the possibilities are starting to excite me!(uhh....not that kind of excitement you pervs! LOL)

p.s. BMW germany still does not have the new coupe listed on their website...does anybody else find this strange?

Still haven't seen one in the flesh, am looking forward to it though. The pics of that car are amazing, and the rear end looks great. That is strange how they don't have it on the German BMW web site, ironic huh.

I have driven the new 335i and this car is very very nice and quite quick. It does have a tad bit of lag (very little and not that detectable), but it is a hell of a car to drive. I just can't get use to the dash. I would miss the cockpit feel with the center console slightly angled toward the driver. IMO, a staple for the 3-series for the last 15+ years….

This car is a different feel than my current M3, but it is almost as quick. The M definitely feel faster. I believe most of this is due to the difference in suspensions between the two. If I were looking for a new car, sans the new M3, I would buy this car in a heartbeat. This truly is a fine automobile and has a better feel than any of the newer BMW's I have driven (almost all sans the new M models). BMW has set the bench for it's class once again with this car. Anyone who purchases this car will not be disappointed. It really is that good; and fun too....

I hear the upcoming M3 will have an 8 cylinder engine.

With the 330 having 300HP, they'll have to bump the M3 to 375, or 400, right?

So much power for a smallish car. Awesome.

Perhaps the M3 will have better styling and a cockpit dashboard. If so,
I would be forced to get an M3. My wife will understand, there would be
no choice. :)
