With the cold temps, my leather seats are feeling uncomfortably hard when I sit down. I am contemplating getting sheepskin seat covers for them. Pros/cons? Anything else I can try to increase the comfort of the seats during the cold months. BTW, I don't have heated seats.

Lexol Leather Cleaner & Lexol Leather Conditioner! Clean and condition your leather every 6-8 weeks and your leather will be much much softer, cold or hot.

I can see the appeal of sheepskin covers in teh winter time. The cons are that they're not too sporty looking and can get dirty easily as well as expensive. Pros are that they do trap heat well adn don't get very cold (my friend had them in his E30).

I wouldn't mine sporting sheep skin seat covers for the winter time. They have some on bavauto.com and they're not cheap.

put wet okole covers on the vette. they are made of neoprene and fit great. about $200 for a pair, your color choice, fits like a glove. Had to take the seats out to install them, but you should not have to do that on the bimmer. If I was in extreme cold or hot, I would get them again. Also, lined with thin rubber to avoid sliding, marking, or rubbing.
(man, I should be a salesman for them)

I ended up getting a pair of premium 1" thick sheepskin covers off the net. I am extremely happy with them. Never knew how luxurious these high quality ones were. We're not talking about the ones you buy at the local auto parts store; these are custom fitted and feel great. Highly recommended.

My wife laughs as I pet the passenger seat...LOL.

Interesting thread.

I wanted seat covers, for a 3-fold purpose -- fight off the cold in winter; fight off the heat in summer; and to generally protect the seat. I like the sheepskin covers, except in the summer time, when ya wear shorts and the sheepskin is hot and clammy.

I ended up going with some fairly simple, but perfectly effective, seat covers from http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/ They're thin enough, yet effective enough, to do all 3 of what I was looking for.
