Has BMW indicated when production of the current E46 Series 3 Coupe is scheduled to end?

Where can I find information about the proposed replacement, the Series 4?

According to many online auto websites the sedan and coupe will go out of production very soon. While it has not been officially confirmed by BMW, the new 3 series sedan should be at dealerships by this summer/fall 2004 as a 2005 model. The new coupe and cabrio, now called the 4 series should follow after. If BMW stays true to form, the coupe and cabrio will come 6 months-1 year after the sedan.

I've only had my 2004 330cic about 2 months...the body, interior and performance seems so new and perfect, I really don't know why BMW is changing it. Sales are so high on the sedan, coupe and cabrio too!!!!! [:(]

Yeah I've read it will be the sedan with be a 2006...so we're looking at late summer fall next year. That means real pics will start showing up at the end of this year maybe and we'll see the new stuff in auto shows beginning of next year.

But I don't think anything is official yet. I could be wrong...maybe somebody has more info?

Typically they release in Europe about six months before they're available here. If they were going to introduce the 2005 as an all-new model, they would have done so in Europe by now (perhaps at the Frankfurt or Geneva auto shows)? But they didn't, so I'm inclined to believe they'll be doing it late next year (late 2005 intro of 2006 with coupe / conv following in early 2006). So, we've got at least another year of current coupe / convertible styling.

"clink... clink..." <-- my two cents
