Silver Vision-like blinker bulbs for 2004 coupes?

Hi All,

I'm looking to get rid of the "egg yolk" effect from amber blinker light bulbs inside the clear corner lenses on my 2004 330ci ZHP.

Thing is, the Phillips Silver Vision bulbs I saw on some sites won't fit the 2004 coupe blinker holders, and I couldn't find any other brands that will.

Anyone know which bulbs I should get for this mod and where to get them? Thanks.

Cheers,
\Mishka

The ones I have in my M3 are clear looking until I turn on the turn signal then they have clear yellow look. They are kind of faint. When looking at them when the lights are off you can hardly tell there is a bulb in there. I am not sure what brand they are. I would have to pull them to see. It looks really nice. I don't see many M3/330ci's with this setup. Most have a yellow or different color you can make out clearly. Mine you can't as much....

You can see what I mean here. Sorry for the crappy site. I will post pics to the Gallery once I figure out how.

Mishka, if you're having difficulty locating the correct bulbs, this is a really easy DIY by just applying a very light coating of hi-temp silver paint to the amber bulb. Costs $4-$5, and if done right, looks just as good as any silver bulb!

Without having xenon's.. I think the 'egg yolk' gives the headlights & cornerlights a uniform look. Having a substantially clear bulb for the corners or even ones with a blue hue would seem to clash...

.... thats speaking about my 2001, not sure about the 04's

I think I finally found the right bulb: Stealth Bulbs #7440. It's got a wedge base which is what my blinker connector accepts.

Thanks for your replies, folks.
