On Wednesday at 7:30 am, I brought my 330i to the shop for tranny replacement.
At 3pm today (Friday) the dealer called and told me the car would not be ready untill Monday. He assured me that there was "no problems" just that they had alot of "road calls" that pulled mechanics off the job. I have a nice 325i loaner, but I can't help but wonder why the delay. They have had the car for 3 full days. Should I be suspicious?

Why not go by the dealer and poke your head into the shop? That's what I did. Or be direct. Ask the SA when your car was brought in to the shop. If the tranny is being replaced ... should be no more than 1 day (assuming dedicated work). If the clutch pack is being replaced, it could be 1.5 days (same assumption). Ask to talk to the shop foreman or to the mechanic who is doing the work. Just call you SA and tell him you insist. Ask the questions directly to them.

Sorry to learn you are going through this also. Guess the "sticky" did not help you either.

The guy fighting BMW is still active on Roadfly, Bimmerfest and E46Fanatics. I have been reading the hundreds of posts from people thanking him/her for keeping the topic alive. Wish these admins chose to do the same also.

Good luck!

By the hundreds? Thanks for a good laugh! Gimme a break. More like people by the hundreds trying to get rid of him and unable to understand why the admins on roadfly are so tolerant.

The admins didn't "kill" any threads discussing the Sliptronic issue. The sticky was locked to keep it a FAQ - because of the troll a few weeks ago that destroyed every useful conversation. There are still many threads open here about the transmission problem, they just have not been active recently. But I have a feeling you may be familiar with those threads....
