Soggy floor board and Service Bulletins!

Recently I have notice that my floor boards have been getting soggy with the amount of rain we have been getting here in Dallas. So I did some researcha dn found that there was a Service Bulletin issued on this problem (TSB#510400 July 00) http://www.alldata.com/TSB/06/99069039.html

Do any of you all know what exactly they do about service bulletins? I know it is not a recall, but I am not sure what exactly differentiates the two and how that affects the resolution of the prob (money-wise) since it was frequent enough to mention on the AllData service.

Any feedback would be great.

With a TSB, they'll fix your car if it's affected, but it's not like a recall where they are required to fix it. If you're car is still under warranty you can have it fixed for free. If not, maybe you can talk to your service advisor for a possible discount.

Also remember that a TSB title may roughly fit your problem, but it doesn't necessarily mean it diagnoses your problem.

i.e. I am having an ongoing radio reception problem and found this TSB:

TSB 650104 APR 04 Radio - Reception Problems, Antenna Diagnosis

I showed it to the SA and they brought the full description up and it talked about radio waves and how they interact with antennas!!!! No help.

TSB's are just explanations for common problems. They may or may not be a problem on your car, so the problems are not subject to recall. Recalls generally involve saftey issues.

I saw various references to the antenna and reception. I tried to get that fixed and gave up. Solved the problem by installing XM in the car.
